Can I switch the name on my account to my spouse, kid, etc?
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to change the name on your Stash account to someone else’s.
Why not?
When you get started with Stash, we’re required to verify your identity and financial history in order to make sure you’re eligible for an account.
Since we’ve verified your information and completed the process for you (and you alone), we can’t switch the ownership of the account (even to a family member).
You can name a beneficiary to your Stash account
Designating a beneficiary on your account means that the person you choose with be able to claim ownership of your account if you pass away.
Follow these instructions to name a beneficiary for your account.
You can also open up a Custodial account for your child or a minor.
