How do I Close my Crypto Account?
Want to opt out of crypto in your Smart Portfolio? Email us at email@example.com to request an opt out. Opt outs may take up to 30 days fully process.
Looking to close your crypto account completely? You’ll have to close your Personal Invest Portfolio1.
If you don’t want to close your Personal Invest Portfolio, you can sell all of your cryptocurrency holdings (check out this article for how to do that). Once you sell all of your coins, your crypto account will be empty, and your sale proceeds will be available in your Cash to Invest (within your Personal Invest Portfolio). You can then use those funds to purchase stocks or ETF investments in your Personal Invest Portfolio; or, you can transfer your Cash to Invest to your Stash Banking account or your external bank account.
1Your cash and securities are held in your brokerage account at Apex Clearing, and your cryptocurrencies are held in your crypto account at Apex Crypto.
