Ask Stash

What should I do after I close my Stash banking account?

When you close your Stash banking account, you should remove any remaining money in your account. There are multiple ways to do this:

  • Make purchases with your Stock-Back card (your debit card).
  • Take cash out at an ATM.
  • Transfer funds to an external bank account or to your Stash Invest account.

You’ll no longer be able to deposit money into your account (including direct deposit, so remember to give new info to your payroll department or government benefits provider).

You can still log in to view past transactions and statements.
