What are some more ways to fund my Stash banking account?
Your limits to transfer funds from an external bank to a Stash banking account using the Stash app may vary day over day. In a time crunch to pay your bills, or need to use your Stock-Back® Card to make that purchase soon? Here are some alternative ways to add cash to your Stash banking account.

- Use your cash balance in a payment app (like Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal).²
- Set up a transfer to your Stash banking account from an external bank account.
- Set up direct deposit and get paid up to 2 days early.³

Make a cash deposit.¹
You can now make instant, no additional fee cash deposits to your Stash banking account at some major retailers across the U.S., including CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, and Rite-Aid.¹ Here’s how it works.
- Visit any participating retail location near you.
- Generate a unique barcode for that retailer here.
- Show the barcode to a cashier and make your cash deposit.

Fund your account with a payment app.²
If you have a cash balance on Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal, you can use that money to fund your Stash. Add your Stock-Back® Card as a payment method on the app, then cash out your balance to Stash for a small fee. You can also link your Stash banking account to Venmo (using your account and routing numbers) to transfer funds for free.
Transfer cash from an external bank account.
Check if your external bank account supports transfers to other accounts. If so, follow your bank’s instructions to initiate a transfer and provide your Stash banking account and routing numbers when prompted.
Get paid up to 2 days early³ with direct deposit.
