What is an Exchange-Traded Fund?
Think of an Exchange-Traded Fund, or ETF, as a collection of various investments that are all used for a specific purpose. These collections can include stocks, bonds, or a mix of both. Many people choose to invest in ETFs because they can be a good way to diversify a portfolio. When you have a diverse portfolio, it can help to reduce some of the risks inherent in purchasing shares of individual stocks or bonds.
