Ask Stash

What’s Plaid?

Plaid is a technology that allows for people to connect their financial accounts to a mobile application. It makes it possible for your external bank and Stash to talk to one another. When you link Stash to your external bank, Plaid encrypts your bank information, including your transaction information, and shares it with Stash to provide functionality to Stash key features, like Round-Ups, fee monitoring, and personalization. Stash never receives your external bank log-in information, like your passcode and username.

If you’re linked to Plaid and don’t want to be, you can always opt-out. Some features, like Round-Ups, won’t be available if you do.

For more information on how Stash and Plaid protect your data, please see Stash’s Privacy Policy and Plaid’s Privacy Policy
