How do I cancel, stop, or modify a transfer?
If you’d like to cancel a transfer of any kind, don’t fear—it’s a very simple process. We’ve outlined the steps you’ll need to take below depending on the type of transfer you’d like to cancel, stop, or modify.
Please keep in mind that we can only cancel transfers marked as “pending,” so you’ll want to take action before the transfer clears.
Recurring transactions
Click here to cancel or modify a recurring transaction.
Manual transfer
To cancel a manual transfer in your Invest, Retire, or Custodial portfolio:
In the app
- Login to the Stash app.
- Tap on the portfolio with the pending transfer.
- Scroll down to the Recent Activity section, then click on the pending transfer.
- Click Cancel Investment.
On the web
- Login to the Stash website.
- Click on the portfolio with the pending transfer.
- Scroll down to the Recent Activity section, then click on the pending transfer.
- Click Cancel Investment.
At this time, you are unable to cancel a manual transfer in your Stash banking account.
