What is Plaid, and how do I use it to link my external bank?
Stash uses a third-party technology called Plaid to allow you to link your external bank account, making it possible for your external bank and Stash to talk to one another.
When you use Plaid to link Stash to your external bank, Plaid encrypts your bank information, including your transaction information, and shares it with Stash to provide functionality to key Stash features, like low balance prediction and personalized insights.
Stash never receives your external bank login information, like your PIN, username, or password.
Use this link and follow the prompts to change your linked external bank account, or follow these steps for additional guidance.
You can opt out of data sharing with Plaid at any time by navigating, in your Stash app, to User Settings > Data Sharing > Opt-out of transaction data sharing.
