How do I pick single stocks?
When choosing a single stock to invest in, there are a few things you should keep in mind:
- You can purchase any single stock available on the Stash app, regardless of your individual risk profile. If you want to purchase single stocks, we highly recommend diversifying your portfolio with a robust mix of other investment types, such as ETFs and bonds.
- Before investing in any single stock, we recommend doing a deep dive into the company.
- For example, you can check on any publicly-traded company with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). [Learn more here]

Most companies also provide information in their individual investor sections, often found on their website. You can also read up on companies and stocks in financial papers such as The Wall Street Journal. [Learn more here]
