Password and log-in support

Need to change your password?
If you use your email address to sign in:
- Enter your email into the login screen at https://login.stash.com
- You will see an option to Reset Password.
- Click and continue with the instructions that are sent to your email.
If you use your Google or Apple ID to sign in:
- Contact Stash customer service at 1-800-205-5164 (Monday – Friday 8 am to 8 pm ET) for assistance to reset your password.
Phone and email verification
How do I update or verify my phone number?
Click here to update or verify your phone number.
You can do this in just a few minutes from the app or from the web.
If you are unable to log in, please contact us at 1-800-205-5164 (Monday – Friday 8 am to 8 pm ET) or via email at support@stash.com. We will happily assist with updating your phone number.
How do I update or verify my email address?

What if I haven’t received the verification email?
The verification message might take a few minutes to get to you. If you’ve been waiting more than 15 minutes, please double-check to see that there are no typos in your email address. Please also check your other email folders, like Spam and Promotions— sometimes administrative emails can be sent there by accident.
Request new verification email:
If you haven’t received the verification email after 15 minutes, you can also request a new verification email by following these steps:
- Click here and login to your Stash account.
- Select the Verify button in the Email section. You’ll receive a new verification email within 15 minutes.
- Navigate to your email inbox and open the email from Stash titled: Please verify your email address.
- Follow the prompts to verify your email address.
Important Note: If you request a new verification email, the link in the previous email will no longer be valid. Please ensure you are using the verification link in the most recent email.
Address changes
Important Note: You must update both your banking address and your investment address separately. Updating just one of these addresses will not update the other address.
Update your Stash Banking address
- Tap Banking (Cash Balance) on the home screen to view your account.
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Tap Billing and Mailing Address in the Change Account Information section.
- Tap the Residential Address field and enter your new residential address.
- Follow the prompts to finish updating your address.
Note: Updating your Stash Banking address will not update your invest address.
Update your investment address
- Tap your initials (iOS) or the gear icon (Android) in the upper-left corner.
- Tap Address.
- Tap the Change Address button.
- Enter your new residential address.
- Follow the prompts to finish updating your address.
Note: Updating your Stash invest address will not update your Stash Banking account.
How do I update or change my name?
If you need to change your first or last name, please contact Customer Support. Before you do, here’s a list of the documents you should have on hand to complete the name change process:
- Government-issued ID showing your new name
- Marriage certificate
- Divorce certificate
- Certified court order
You won’t need all of these documents, just the ones that pertain to your name change.
When you’ve got your documents in order and are ready to start the name-change process, please give us a call at 800-205-5164 from 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. ET Monday-Friday, or email us at support@stash.com.
Where can I find my Stash investment account numbers?
To find your account number for your Personal, Custodial, or Retirement Account(s):
- Select your initials (iOS) or hamburger icon (Android).
- Select Statement and Documents.
- Select Portfolio Statement or Trade Confirmation, and you will find your account number in the upper-left corner of the statement.
When and where can I view my account statements?
We send out account statements to your email during the first week of the month. If your account has no activity for the previous month, a monthly statement won’t be generated. You’ll still receive a quarterly statement regardless, which will have a monthly breakdown on it.
Please note that bank or market holidays can delay statements.
You can also manually view and download statements directly from the app or web. Follow these steps to view your investment portfolios.
On the app
- Login to the Stash app.
- Tap your initials (iOS) or hamburger icon (Android) in the upper-left corner.
- Scroll down to the Documents section and tap Portfolio.
- Tap Portfolio statements under the portfolio you want to view the statement for.
On the web
- Login to the Stash website.
- Click your name in the upper-right corner.
- Click Statements and tax documents.
- Click Account statements under the portfolio you want to view the statement for.

How do I add a beneficiary to my account?
While you cannot share an account with someone, you can designate a beneficiary on your account. This will allow them to claim ownership of the account(s) in the event that you pass away. Please note the beneficiary forms you will require you to add your account number. Can I reopen my Stash account?
Welcome back to Stash! You can easily reopen your Stash account in just a few minutes.
- Log in to your Stash account on the app or web using your same username and password.
- Follow the prompts to reopen your account:
- Confirm your personal information.
- Pick the right plan for you.
- Set up your payment.
- Accept our Terms and Conditions.
- If you only need to reopen your Stash Banking account, please contact us at 1-800-205-5164 (Monday – Friday 8 am to 8 pm ET) or via email at support@stash.com.
