Closing Your Stash Banking Account

Before you close your Stash banking account, please link your external bank account to Stash, then transfer your remaining balance to your external account. If you do not link an external bank account, we will mail you a paper check for your remaining balance.

After you’ve linked your external bank account and transferred your balance out of your Stash banking account, please give us a call at 800-205-5164 from 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. ET Monday-Friday, or email us at support@stash.com.
Notes:
- You’ll no longer be able to deposit money into your Stash banking account (including direct deposit), so please give your new direct deposit information to your payroll department or government benefits provider.
- You can still log in to your Stash account to view past transactions and statements. Simply sign in with your same username and password.
